My dad's first meeting with the OncologistI thought I would post a quick update. My dad has non-small cell lung cancer. It is stage 4. Usually when someone is at stage 4 at diagnosis doctors don't try to cure the cancer, they just try to extend and improve the quality of life. It is in both of his lungs, in the lymph nodes at the top of his lungs, and on his bones. He had a bone scan yesterday to see just how bad that part is. Most of the time I feel pretty good and upbeat. I'm sure that's due to everyones prayers. Please keep them coming! 2 commentsI have no idea if this will help in your dad’s situation, but every possibility must be investigated at this point: This is a company I interviewed at, and although I didn’t get the job, I seriously believe in what they are doing. It’s worth checking in to. I know it sounds corny, but I planted him a flower… http://www.flowersforhope.com/garden/ do a search for “tom j.” Let your dad know we are praying for him! -J Fri Sep 29, 2006 @ 23:27 That’s cool Jason.
