Totally agree! The energy wasted, trash created, and the fact that it won’t change people does make it a waste/failure.

But it was cool to see Tap.. and they were being Tap. Too bad Nigel’s mandolin got unplugged during Stonehenge. (even though it may have fit in with the Spinal Tap experience)

I was hoping at the very end that their drummer would explode in a puff of green smoke. I looked at a couple other venues, like Australia, they played 5-6 songs each. Wembley got screwed! ;)

“The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin’–that’s what I read.
The loser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand, or so I have read..
My baby fits me like a flech tuxedo. I’d like to sink her with my…”

In my view the “Live Earth” fiasco was a huge waste of time and resources, and was largely hyposcrisy on parade presented by the likes of the idiot Al Gore and the super-narcissistic Madonna. Still it is fun to watch Spinal Tap do a couple classic numbers. I have the impression that the whole Wembley event would have not been such a yawner if they gave Tap 2 hours to play, instead of 15 minutes.

“Talk about mud-flaps, my girl’s got em!”
